Due to the huge growth and increasing popularity of e-commerce, he said Thai SMEs should consider expanding their businesses online in order to find new opportunities and reduce production costs at the same time. E-commerce can also help enhance the potentials of Thai companies to compete in the international market.

Mr. Siriwat added that the Ministry of Commerce has launched the DBD Registered symbol in order to increase consumers? confidence in online shopping. Online shoppers will be able to know if the products or companies advertised on the internet are real or not by looking for this symbol. So far, the symbol has been given to over 10,000 websites.
